September and October Round Up

Our September started out with a family campout in our back yard and we had a blast! Ada loved sleeping in the tent and we had lots of fun just hanging around the campfire and toasting up some s'mores.
That weekend also happened to be the weekend of Artapalooza in downtown Cedar Falls. I had been to it in the past but never with the kids, and man we had SO MUCH FUN! There were so many free activities for the kids to do, I highly recommend going next year!
I'm not going to lie, I am terrible about taking family photos in the fall! It's when things start getting busy with photography, so I neglect picking up my camera for fun (mainly because I don't want to have to edit them all later lol). I captured a slow Saturday morning eating breakfast together, plus a couple of other moments during October. Of course, the month ended with some Trick or Treating! I had a wedding on Halloween, so we went to some events the weekend before to squeeze all of our Halloween fun in. This was our first year going to trick or treating in downtown Waterloo. We love that it was on the weekend and there were lots of places to stop by. I'm sure we'll be back next year!
Only a couple of more months left in 2019, which is crazy! Now that sessions have slowed down I'm trying to pick up my camera for personal reasons more so hopefully I'll have lots to share in November!
