Lenhart Family| Cedar Falls, IA Family Photographer

I spent a beautiful fall day in October with the Lenhart family. Emily is my sister, so I've been photographing the family for a few years now. They were basically my guinea pigs when I really started diving into photography! It's crazy how much things have changed from our first photoshoot together. Not only in my abilities, but also how much Henry and Harper have grown up! Henry used to make my job TOUGH. It was almost like as soon as I'd get them set up for a photo, he'd start crying. I had to do allllll sorts of things to get the smiles out of him! So if you're worried that you're kids won't cooperate, trust me, I've been there and done that! This little boy put me through the ringer, but I feel like I can basically handle anything now! LOL And of course, now he's all about the photos and posing himself and asking me to take more. Oh how the tables have turned!

I worked with Emily to help plan out their outfits a couple months before hand. Flowers and plaid almost always go well together! I love helping clients decide on outfits to make sure there is just enough color and pattern. It makes the end result that much better! And I was obsessed with Emily's dress, so much so that she gifted it to me after the session (the perks of being sisters and basically having the same size/body shape:).

I can't believe these golden days of autumn are behind us already. However, as much as I love fall I am also a winter lover, so bring on the snow!
